The goal of our Scaffold and Ladder Awareness Training class is an introductory-level course designed to teach participants how to correctly and properly use ladders on the construction site, as well as review both the capabilities and limitations of ladders.

The Scaffold Safety Awareness for Construction training is an introductory-level safety course that will discuss the principles of supported, rolling, suspending, and ladder jack scaffolds.

This class is approved for 3 credit hours of Continuing Education credits with Oregon Construction Contractor Board

-Live Class – Student must have means of transportation to classroom facility (facility is ADA compliant).

-Student must bring valid, government issued, photo ID

Scaffold and Ladder Awareness Training

Ladder Safety Awareness for Construction course is an introductory-level course designed to teach participants how to correctly and properly use ladders on the construction site, as well as review both the capabilities and limitations of ladders. Furthermore, the course will cover safe work practices and techniques for accident protection onsite.

The Ladder Safety Awareness for Construction course will provide participants with applicable OSHA ladder safety training on how properly select, prepare, and set up ladders according to the job being performed. The course will cover the correct usage of ladders in conjunction to the equipment used on the job. Specific course topics include the following:

  • Introduction to ladder safety
  • Situational analysis
  • Safe work practices
  • Summary of overall ladder safety
  • Cumulative safety drill

The Scaffold Safety Awareness for Construction training is an introductory-level safety course that will discuss the principles of supported, rolling, suspending, and ladder jack scaffolds.

Participants will learn the varying types of scaffold systems used throughout the construction industry, as well as the dangers associated with and the requirements for specific scaffold systems.

Scaffold Safety Awareness for Construction training is designed to teach participants the roles of competent persons and the training needed to use scaffolds in a construction work environment. Promoting scaffold safety awareness, participants can expect to learn the dangers and requirements associated with using scaffolds, as well as types of scaffolds, and more.

Specific course topics include the following:

  • Introduction to scaffold safety in construction
  • General safety measures for scaffolds
  • Special types of scaffolds used

Participants can expect to apply OSHA regulations regarding scaffold safety throughout the duration of this course.
